"Maxton Hall" romance series is one of the few things Youtube did right. Basically it was a random suggestion that I got -like many before it-, but when I started watching season one, boy was I hooked! This swoon-worthy German series follows the lives of the influential rich kids and one outsider form a less affluent family. The story is set on the fictional college of Maxton Hall, and if you are sucker for teen dramas like me, you know that any elite college is a great setting for lots of intrigue - Gossip girl is a good example.
In the series, we follow Ruby, a clever and headstrong girl that wants to go to Oxford. To do so, she gets a scholarship on prestigious Maxton Hall, were all the elite is gathered. Initially she stays under radar, often ignored, but -as you may have guessed- eventually she catches the attention of one of the richest boys at school, James. And not in a good way. So brace yourselves for the foes to lovers trope, but with a ton of chemistry between the couple.
I binge watched it, even though I needed extra caffeine the next day, just to stay awake. And that says a lot.
